Chris Thomas - the keeper of this site

You can characterize this site any way you like: An "abduction" site, a "ufo" site or "paranormal" site. Whatever. The site is humanitarian and questions such issues as Religion, Politics and Belief Systems.

It is a site owned, created and managed by an encountered person, for the sake of all encountered people, and particularly those who have experienced encounters of the fourth or fifth kind, in order to better understand our experience and make good use of it.

It is a chance for all those with a genuine interest in encounters with extraterrestrial beings, at whatever level, to make a serious contribution to the research and understanding of this phenomenon, without fear of being used or abused within a secure and rigid legal structure.

I personally have received very little "professional" help with the sense of dilemma which followed my experiences, I did, however receive huge support from fellow experiencers (the more you know, the better you feel), and from a series of meetings with those that are open, thoughtful and have a deeper understanding of life: those who say that science must be able to measure or explain a phenomenon in order for it to exist, do not understand history.

This phenomenon does exist and is affects large numbers of people, and merits serious research.  Interestingly, while it has had the power to almost completely destroy many of our lives, tearing apart relationships and earning us scorn and ridicule, it also has the power to make us stronger, more empowered individuals.

I believe it is because I am an "abductee", an experiencer, that I now have a heightened awareness of so-called "paranormal" events; I have spent years of my life trying to come to terms with these and to understand them.
 

The abduction experience itself is an enigmatic one, and it has been a powerful agent of change in the way I regard my world. It has brought me to this point: I will no longer suffer those who deliver narrow and untested responses to it. It is up to us, the experiencers of it, to find out about it, and to explain it.
 

I believe that we, the encountered ones, from all walks of life, and from all parts of the globe, can build a community that is intelligent, unafraid, forward thinking, wise and above all honest. And so, the creation of this web site.
 

If we work together as a unit, real progress can be made to further understand these mysteries, and to use our understanding to reshape this world of ours, somewhat. 

I have carried out research for TV companies, written articles, and interviewed many experiencers, but I have never publicised my own story. I mistrust the news media, and I fear being misused by investigators whose primary aim it is to sell their writings or films. 

There are some that act with integrity and have added to the sum of knowledge of this phenomenon, but the majority merely sow confusion and scepticism.

So to prove my seriousness, I am disclosing the story of my encounters for the first time, you can read it inside. I would be so heartened if someone else out there had experienced their encounter in a similar way, and only with your help can we find out if such people exist, for all of us.
